What do you imagine under the term FILM INDUSTRY? Some may know, some suspect and others follow the literal meaning of this phrase. Of course, it encompasses all the aspects of film - creation, production, distribution and more. Important festivals include specialist programme in the FILM INDUSTRY section and ZFF is of course no different. And what points of interest will this year's 53rd ZFF offer to the specialists and experts?

-          An interesting event is another season of Rainbow Marbles project which has undergone relatively long development from festival focused on advertisement for children all the way to themes of film marketing. Rainbow Marbles project is organised in collaboration with students of Faculty of Multi-media Communication at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. The programme includes international competition of student film trailers, award for the best marketing audiovisual accomplishment in Czech and Slovak films of 2012 as well a wide spectrum of workshops focusing on the art of film selling.

-          Useful information can be gained from a workshop lead by producer Miloslav Šmídmajer who places his attention to 'product placement' in film Čtyřlístek ve službách krále (Clover in King's Service).

-          Jirka Mádl will come to Zlín and as part of Film Industry will introduce his new film Pojedeme k moři (Trip to Seaside) in an unusual form of a workshop.

-          České televize specialist workshops will be aimed at the launching of a new children's public TV channel Déčko (''D''). Its director, Petr Koliha, is previously long-standing artistic director of ZFF. Amongst the main themes will belong the role of children's public TV, its mission, vision, principles and home production of Česká televize for Déčko as well as the concept of interlinking TV broadcast with Déčko's web pages.  Another part of Česka televize specialist workshops will be the addition of subject matters such as the functioning of foreign public children's TV and presentation of Česká televize activities in the realm of the project Advice for TV and Radio Broadcast - Children and Media.
