Holidays with Silvester (1990)
Silvester is an old bachelor of seventy-six who sees more in the stars than in people. Katharina is seven years old, she is lively and full of curiosity. The two of them spend one summer together. Step by step, Katharina manages to conquer this scruffy astronomer. She and her girlfriend Veronika start out with him on a quest for Silvester's times lost. They come across a puppy dog which almost drowned, Egon, a long lost friend from his childhood, and a pair of brass binoculars which had been kept for 65 years in some secret place in the woods…

Director, documentary film maker, and cameraman. He is the author of a number of live-acted and documentary films made for families or young audiences, e.g. Summer with the Ghosts (2004) and Mozart in China (2008).
