Experience the music and energy of the 1970's punk underground. When 15-year-old Shay hears the music of The Clash for the first time, it’s a revelation, opening up a new world of social consciousness and anti-establishment defiance beyond anything he’s known in his dead-end London suburb. Drawn into the heart of the city’s burgeoning punk scene, he forges two relationships that will change his life: falling in love with rebellious cool girl Vivian and finding an unexpected connection with none other than The Clash’s electrifying frontman, Joe Strummer. Biography
An American writer and director of German origin, he studied painting at Old Dominion University and chose the career of coveted artist. He later graduated in media studies at The New School in New York City and worked at Sony Music Studios, where he combined his artistic talents and education in film and video. His feature film debut is his authorial work The Joneses (2009), which he’s followed with, e.g. the dramas Dark Around the Stars (2013) and H8RZ (2015).
