A stagecoach is racing among the snowy hills of Wyoming. It carries bounty hunter John Ruth and Daisy Domergue. He's expecting a reward for her head; she's expecting a trial and a noose. Along the way, they meet two men: Major Marquis Warren, a former soldier turned feared bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix, a southern defector who claims he's the new sheriff in the town everyone's heading to. When a strong blizzard prevents them from continuing their journey, they seek refuge at Minnie's, a popular stagecoach lodge. But they're not welcomed at the door by the owner, but by several strangers. As eight travelers sit out the snowstorm, it begins look like they won't make it to town...
