GERMAN CINEMA IN ZLÍN

Just as it does every year, 2015 will find Zlín's festival presenting the cinema from one European country. Poland got the spot light last year and the next in line is neighboring Germany.

Just as it does every year, 2015 will find Zlín's festival presenting the cinema from one European country. Poland got the spot light last year and the next in line is neighboring Germany.  The festival program designers have been preparing approximately 40 movies made for all generations.  The extensive children's and youth sections will showcase not only classic films (e.g. Emil and the Detectives), but also current ones (Almanya – Welcome to Germany).  In the regular mini-section of the golden fund, audiences can look forward to seeing film treasures by directors such as Fritz Lang, Werner Herzog, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Volker Schlöndorff, Caroline Link, and more.  Berlin, as city full of film stories, gave rise to another subsection in which our screens will show movies like Christiane F., Wings of Desire, and Run Lola Run.  In addition, the festival has invited many German film professionals who will sit in the international juries and delegations.
