The further adventures of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins on his journey together with the wizard Gandalf and thirteen dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield. They all set off on an epic journey to return to the Lonely Mountain and the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor. After surviving the start of their unexpected journey, the company continues East and along the way meet the shapeshifter Beorn. While in Mirkwood Forest, which is full of dangers, they're halted by a group of Giant Spiders. When they manage to escape from the captivity of dangerous forest elves, they continue to Lake-town and eventually to Lonely Mountain itself, where they must face the greatest danger – Smaug. This scariest of monsters tests not only their courage, but also the strength of their friendship and the importance of the entire journey.
