Chidiya (2016)
Shanu and Bua, aged 9 and 7, live in a tenement in Mumbai with their mother Vaishnavi. Vaishnavi asks her brother-in-law Bali Bhai to get Shanu and Bua a job with him. He works in the film industry and takes the kids to his film set. Though they don’t get a job, they get a shuttlecock and their new purpose in life is to play the game of chidiya. How difficult can it be? But sometimes it’s the simplest of things that are the hardest to accomplish. Buying racquets, getting a net and making a court in the tenement is the easy part, now they have to win.
