Reserving Tickets On-Line!

May 29th 2009 | For the first time in the festival’s entire history there will be paid tickets for afternoon and evening screenings at this year’s International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín.

For the first time in the festival's entire history there will be paid tickets for afternoon and evening screenings at this year's International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Zlín.  The reasons aren't financial, as most visitors think, but rather a matter of regulating things. Huge crowds were recorded within the auditoriums of the cinemas last year; people stood in front of the auditoriums and it was difficult to even get inside. We noted a huge phenomenon called "multiplex tourism", where young people kept going in and out of the theatres. The goal of introducing tickets is to civilize and calm down the traffic between screenings.

From May 25 advanced ticket sales start at Golden Apple Cinema for film projections at Film Festival Zlín 2009. Likewise it's possible to reserve tickets on-line, and not only through the DISdata portal, but also through our Internet pages http://www.zlinfest.cz/cs/predprodej-vstupenek/on-line-prodej. You can reserve tickets through the Internet no later than 30/05/2009 till 12:00 PM and pick them up at ticket desks at Golden Apple Cinema in Zlín. The ticket reservation system will not be available on the Internet from May 31 to June 7!!

From May 31 tickets will be sold at two other locations; at the tickets desks at Velke Kino Cinema and at the festival's Information Centre at Tomas Bata University on Mostní street.

The ticket reservation system will not be available on the Internet from May 31 to June 7. As of May 31 it will be possible to buy tickets at all three ticket sale points for films screened on the day of purchase and one following day.

The admission fee is the same for all charged film projections - CZK 20.

Charged projections start everyday from 2 PM during the entire festival. Morning screenings are reserved in preference for schools and are free. We have introduced a new thing for the littlest of moviegoers - parents with children can come to see morning projections of fairy tales at the Golden Apple Cinema. No admission fee is charged here either. However, viewers have to collect their tickets at the ticket office before they enter. Tickets that have not been taken by groups will be available for free from May 25 at the ticket offices at the Golden Apple Cinema and from May 31 at all three points of sale.

From May 31 there will be a limited number of tickets for the opening film Secret of Moonacre by director Gabor Csupo. Admission to the projections at the Open Air Cinema on the Náměstí Práce Square in front of Hotel Moskva is FREE.
